North America Quality Manager

Your tasks -

The Quality Manager is responsible for all internal and external quality aspects. This includes general quality management functions of certifications, specific quality procedures and operational quality responsibilities. Following this state of the art approach of quality management as integral part of all company procedures (TQM), the Quality Manager will work with all departments for improvement processes. The Quality Manager will also head the continuous improvement process (CIP) and manage a system for internal improvement suggestions.

The Quality Manager also coordinates all safety and environmental formal aspects (HSE, OSHA, securing of cargo) and reports these functions to the board of management.

Further tasks:

  • Running the whole Quality Management system, including all functions to maintain and defend all relevant certifications needed. Representing the company towards external auditors and certification bodies, as well as the execution of internal audits to demonstrate and prove the proper use and function of the procedures in all areas of the company.
  • Responsibility for all operational quality aspects to ensure a state-of-the-art quality process. These include general, product and project related quality plans, as well as measurement tool management system, worker self-assessment procedures, incoming inspection procedures and supplier qualification procedures.

The Quality Manager directly reports to the Management Board, is responsible for the quality reporting to Kalenborn International (Germany) and participates in the quality competence team of Kalenborn International. To ensure quality, the Quality Manager has the authority to block suppliers, scrap and quarantine WIP and FGI, as well as block deliveries.

 

Requirements -

  • Should hold a relevant engineering degree. Hands-on work experience is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a direct production environment with at least 3 years of experience in QM/QA functions.
  • Demonstrate experience in working with suppliers, partners, customers and official/certification bodies. Also has experience in international business affairs. Language skills, such as Spanish or German, are appreciated.
  • Experience with the welding process and mounting/installation procedures is also an advantage. Experience and knowledge of Cement, CFFP, Mining and Recycling operations are appreciated.
